If you are using the iLMS Live software on Microsoft Windows, please ensure that you have installed and launched the program, using the directions given under Getting Started, and that the icon below is active in your system tray before entering the room.

Minimum Requirements

  • A desktop or laptop PC with Microsoft Windows installed.
  • Minimum 1GHz CPU
  • 256MB RAM
  • An internet connection
  • Headset w/ microphone, or speakers and desktop mic for voice capabilities

Web browser requirements:

  • Pop-ups must be allowed. You must disable pop-up blocking software.
  • Sun Java (most recent version) installed on your computer.
  • Netscape 4.0 (or higher), Internet Explorer 5.5 (or higher), or any other Java-enabled web browser.
  • Browser enabled for Java and Javascript.

Microsoft Windows Users

To fully participate and talk in the meeting room, you need to...
Download and install the iLMS Live software.

After installation, an iLMS Live Shortcut icon will appear on your desktop.

You must run the software by double clicking on the above shortcut and have this icon (shown below) running in your computer System Tray before clicking on the "Enter My Room" button, which is located on this page.

Clicking the "Enter My Room" button will launch you into the Tasman Communications environment.

Apple Mac and Linux Users

An alternative way of using iLMS Live is with a Java-enabled web browser. This method allows you to listen to and view the presentation / meeting and to communicate via text chat with the presenters. You will not be able to talk to the presenters using this method of access.

The latest version of Sun Java is required. Click on the logo to check that your Java system is up to date.

Once these requirements have been met, clicking the "Enter My Room" button will launch you into the Tasman Communications environment.
