Tasman Insurance Consultants Pty Limited was formed in 1985 to provide service and advice without the significant overheads levied by the large overseas based international insurance broking firms. Tasman is a New Zealand company with a mission to ensure its personnel provide risk and insurance solutions utilising high calibre experienced professionals. Tasman is not aligned to any "cluster/industry group" which imposes placement of insurance premiums (and or conformity) as a pre-requisite to entry into the "buyer group" thus making us truly INDEPENDENT.

Tasman provides insurance broking, risk management, claims advocacy and ILMS (Intelligent Learning Management Services) to its global clients as its core capability. The Tasman team is well qualified to deliver solutions in the key global market segments of Resources (Energy & Resources), Construction, Corporate and Specialty (Associations and Multiple Member Groups).

INNOVATION

Tasman delivers web based insurance for corporate and industry focused needs. As an example Tasman delivers Professional Indemnity and Public Liability products to the mining industry direct to the customer utilising sophisticated technology. Tasman also has a strategic partnering arrangement with global web-based communications provider Intelligent Learning Management Systems, which provides the central hub of its New Zealand-wide & international communications systems.

Tasman is a 100% subsidiary of the Australian Consolidated Insurance Group and uses the other Australian group companies in partnership to deliver a range of insurances through its global capacity.

Tasman recognises there is a need to ensure we can cater for our clients growing global presence and have world-wide links with similar "like-minded" insurance brokers. Tasman has a working relationships with two innovative established Lloyd's of London broking companies based in London, in addition there are co-operation agreements in the Philippines and Hong Kong.
